We had a hurricane this morning. I have never heard wind roar in the trees so loud in my life. At 7.10am I was walking down the street. It was dark and cold and a hurricane in full swing. It was quite frightening. The weather people classed it as a "storm" but in my book it was a hurricane. About half an hour ago it absolutely lashed rain and now we have blue skies, sun but with that freezing wind, although it has calmed down a bit.
Around the country they are still suffering the damage caused by the floods with virtually no clean drinking water. Hundreds of people are evacuated from their homes with nowhere to go.
